I think it is bogus. I was denied after a prequal last month, even after emails telling me to come back and apply. Their "offers" section is bogus as well.

@ItsCASHual Thanks much appreciated!

This is how I feel @Brian_Earl_Spilner
Ive been with them 6 years. Lost my job in 2015. Had to let my secured card go. The deposit paid for most of it minus $46. I paid that and they let me back in. My new secured card graduated and went to $2000. I got a $800 increase after 6 months and then because of covid they gave me an additional $500. Only thing the prequal says I qualify for is another secured card.
Feels like I have an internal blacklist somewhere.

Well, you're not on a blacklist because they wouldn't have given you another card. I know people have said that after paying them back, it can be a long road to being treated "normal" again. Have you tried applying for a second product?

No, I wont try again until next Feb. My 2 year anniversary of getting the first card. @Brian_Earl_Spilner
I tried to apply for a 6 month increase and got a letter that say Im at the maximum credit limit.
Im hunting house at the moment, so its moot right now. Im just peeved that Ive been banking with them since 2014 and prequal says Im only eligible for another secured. Dah well.
@Brian_Earl_Spilner Did you get a lot of credit cards within the past 12 or 24 months? I received the cashRewards CC in April, also with a low $500 SL. In a letter from them with my internal score, besides listing the derogatories on my credit report (lates on closed cards and paid charge-offs), they stated I had too many new accounts in the past 24 months. When I apped, I had a new Amazon Prime in the same month that had just reported. After being approved for Navy's credit card, the next month I got my BB&T credit card. So I don't plan to app for a second NFCU card until I have a year with no inquiries or new credit cards to give me a shot at a high SL. At least, that's my plan. LOL Reading about your low CLIs on your first card, I might be in for a rude-awakening myself as far as CLIs on my cashRewards. But at least I'm in.

Yes, but my file is so thick it doesn't matter. I had 5 new accounts reporting within 3 months prior to the Platinum approval. Including the Platinum, I just added another 3 cards before I got denied for inquiries by another lender. Didn't get denied for 8 new accounts in 4 or 5 months, got denied for 22 EX inquiries in the last 2 years.

I would take the pre-qual link with a grain a salt.

**Edit- Apparently it works via the mobile version of the site. Pre-qualled for all cards. Would be enticing if Flagship had a SUB. That will be my third card thru Navy.
I always do, but I like to take a look for the fun of it as I'm gardening till I'm back under 5/24 later this year. Didn't even get to try as the link didn't work. Just gave some error. Not the end of the world, as I would wait for Flagship until there is a SUB again.
