My scores are similar to yours. I just called credit solutions for my paypal/amazon/ & walmart cards and got $3000 cli bumps on each card. Figured I'd app for the lowes get the small SL and just call in for a bump. Got approved with a lower TU, and $800 SL. Called in for the bump and denied lol. Guess I'll buy a vaccuum and call back in next month.

Congrats! It'll grow in time. Do you mind sharing your TU score at the time of the Lowes approval? (it'll help as a data point for others).

Re: Is it time to pull the Lowes or Home Depot trigger?

I just got Home Depot last week with my EQ sitting at where it is on my siggy. I have several pulls recently and tons of new accounts in the last two months. I felt gutsy so I took a chance with Lowe's and was declined because of too many recent accounts and inquiries, I applied online for both of them. Honestly I think my chances would have been better applying for Lowe's in store and I probably would have gotten a higher SL on Home Depot if I had made a purchase in store and apped.

Re: Is it time to pull the Lowes or Home Depot trigger?

For consideration for base scores wife got approved for Lowe's card @ around 600 score 20 inquiry in last 2 years. Where I have score around 670 denied for same reason they didn't give her cli. She also got Walmart store card sl of 600 denied cli. I got denied go figure thing they love my wife and hate me as I have better score lol.

Oh wow! These banks are so fickle. You never can be 100% sure how they'll respond.

Re: Is it time to pull the Lowes or Home Depot trigger?

It's a small $500 limit card, I should have called in and asked for more off the same HP, but with all my recent inquiries and new accounts I didn't want to risk it not being a HP. I'm gardening for a while, so I'll wait until some inquiries fall off to request more.
