Re: Lowes Credit Card Approval/ Increase Question

I won’t be doing that either - our salary actions are done in March. Just as well though, I can’t help but think it might look suspect to raise my reported income right when I’m looking for a CLI...

Well for whoever was wondering.  Because like the neighbor, he's had the acct. for many years, never asked for a cli, his income is usually the same give or take a little from year to year but I did not change his just for that very reason.  He could have claimed a little higher according to his tax return for the 2018 year, but why open that can of worms? Even though it WAS right after tax season.

I agree. If it were me applying right after a salary increase, I’d probably app on the old number, then change it a week or two later. Synch isn’t exactly against handing out big limits so it’s not like the typical raise will be the difference-maker for most people.

Seems to me I have seen it said to get above $17k limit, TU score needs to be at least 720. That makes sense to me as my limit is $17k and my scores hover right around 700 with an income of $71k.
