Macy's Amex Hard Pull

I contacted Macy's through chat to see if I was eligible for an upgrade to the Macy's American Express after verifying everything, she asked to review my credit. I asked if it was going to be a hard pull and she said yes.

Ummmm NO THANK YOU! 

Has anyone gotten a hard pull for a Macy's Amex?

Just upgraded my 7 month old Bloomingdale's and no hard pull. How old is your Macy's account and what is your limit? What is your current Fico on Ex? I applied for my Macy's Am Ex in store and started out with one.

All the cs reps do is what the computer tells them.

its 5 months old. Not sure what my experian score is honestly. I have a 2k limit, had a few increases since opening. 

I will wait a few more months I guess, or maybe just forget about the whole thing. I already have a regular amex :/

Check your scores and wait 2 more months. If you are close to or above 700 Ex at that time you should be able to get it with a sp.

To upgrade, no.   To get a CLI, yes.

$1K to $1.8K CLI at roughly 4-5 months SP

AmEx upgrade at 7 months SP

True. they tell you that. but they don't actually do it. just go upgraded a couple weeks ago. wish i did not now. as a seperate tradeline. 3k limit. no thanks. wish i could cancel.

People should not call it an upgrade. Its and additional credit card. 2 cards side by side.
