They use EX and it's one of the old FICO scoring models. Probably a mortgage score?
These prequals could be all they use. YMMV
As that was how it used to be with them. I obtained my NASA CC with a SP.
EX F2 seems to be really strict lol
@Anonymous
Yeah it is!😂
Though pretty much all of the CUs I've come across that use it or something similar will give you tier 1 rates with a 720 or less.
I'm not a member of NASA but thought I'd go ahead and do the pre-approval, like a myFICO'er would 🤣
Came back pre-approved for the Platinum cash rewards with a 13.9 APR and the 9.9 lifetime BT APR.
Doesn't sound to bad to me. I might have to see if I qualify membership, I would imagine I probably don't though.
Thanks for posting the info!
Anyone can qualify for membership with NASA FCU, if you are a US citizen.
So yeah, you most likely will qualify for membership 😆.

Haha I don't know why I didn't look while I was there 😅 Thanks for letting me know

Very interesting. They've come a long way 😁.
I wonder how solid these prequalified offers really are @Gmood1? I still have my membership and CC (from the NASA FOTM back in the day). I think the max is $50K for CCs, IIRC.

Hey Fin, the max per card is $30k.
I'm not sure how solid these are.
Like you, I got mine when it was the FOTM. And on a SP.
I wonder why they are only pushing one particular CC and not the others?
Offering soft pull pre-approvals is one of the suggestions I gave them on a customer survey.
Maybe there were enough of us that suggested it, to push them to test it.

Well, it sounds like they finally took your feedback and turned it into reality 😜
So, who's going to be the GP? 😎
Curse my mortgage process I am in for the next gosh knows how long while house is being built :/.. Least I can watch the fun from the sidelines and shed inquiries in the meantime for a mad app spree in 4th quarter this year.
