Well-played, NFCU!
Did NFCU's auto-CLI just screw up the odds of my upcoming CLI request being approved? My 3rd full (4th total) statement just cut and I was about to fire off a request for a sizable CLI when I noticed my limit was increased $2.5K sometime before the 4th statement closed (don't remember seeing any messages about this). Strange.
So....
Now I don't know what to do—what say you?

So....
- Would I have to now wait 180 days to fire off a CLI request, given they just issued me one (albeit for much less than I was going to request)?
- If not, I wonder if this will decrease the odds of being approved, given they just granted me a CLI (unbeknownst to me)!
- ...and wondering if I fire off a request in the face of having just received (an involuntary) one, whether or not it will increase the likelihood of a HP.

Yes, unfortunately your auto-cli reset the clock and you need to wait 6 months (and 6 statements) from this unexpected CLI.
To avoid this in the future and gain more control over the timing of your increase requests, contact NFCU (phone or secure message) and request them to set the auto-cli switch to no....

+1
While many get upset when hit with a Navy auto increase before they get a chance to request a cli, I'm of mind it's actually a positive In that it's telling you Navy likes what they see. Contrary to belief Navy auto cli are rare and all it does is make one wait a few more months to request a cli. We should remember no cli is guaranteed no matter how easy Navy makes it seems so even getting an Auto cli is better than getting a denial upon request. FYI been a member 5+ years.......ONE auto cli.....
I'm glad i read this thread. my new cash rewards is due for a cli the first week of april, first statement was partial so after 3rd full statement cuts i will be at 104 days.
I didnt want an auto cli to mess up my plans for asking for 8k so today i called in and blocked the auto cli function of the card, the csr was very friendly and it was quick.
i am going to app for the plat and then ask via internet for a cli on my cash rewards april 11th.

Nice. Reminds me of an old 'demotivator' poster...to paraphrase, 'Sometimes the purpose of your life...is to serve as a warning to others."

Its what makes this forum great. people are willing to post their successes and failures and secrets for all to gain from without going through the trials and tribulations themselves.

I've failed like 90% of the time but those 10% were pretty sweet 😋

Lol why my reports seem to never lose hps my Eq has like 4 straight denials but the one approval of the last 5 was a 15k Penfed card so all those lenders who denied me can bite it hard like Christopher Walken would say in Click " I don't know the O'Doyl s, but the O'Doyls can bite it hard!"😆
