@Anonymous wrote:I have been with Navy fed for 6 years and have had a Go Rewards card for 4 years, limit is 1k and i currently have a 3% uti on it, this is also the only CC that i have. I am active duty and have never missed a payment since i've gotten the card. I am looking to get a sizeable CLI next week when i request it next tuesday. My question is will my scores permit an increase of 15-25k? I have seen all these success stories on this forum but they are from like 4 and 5 years ago and definitely before COVID and the banks getting tighter with money. I grossed 67K (according to my LES) last year and will most likely gross 70K this year. I just do not want to take a HP if my scores don't jive with a CLI. I am totally new to this whole CLI thing and I have absolutely no idea what credit versions they even look at when you go for a CLI (FICO 8,9,5,4,2). Any help info you can give me would be GREATLY appreciated!

EQ FICO 8 Bankcard: 689
EQ FICO 5 Bankcard: 660
EQ FICO 9 Bankcard: 696
TU FICO 8: 655
TU FICO 8 Bankcard: 675
TU FICO 4 Bankcard: 664
TU FICO 9 Bankcard: 703
I would concentrate on getting your actual Fico 8 and 9 scores. Navy uses those plus their internal score. Despite Covid 19, people are still getting increases and approvals from Navy as evidenced by the approval forum. If people with 500 ficos csn pull off a Navy card, barring any recent baddies you should be ok. Id recommend the second card first then cli attempt. With a stable income you should be good to go imo. Good luck, thsnks for service stay safe!
@Anonymous wrote:@AllZeroThank you for your sound advice!!! I am going to take it and app for the 2nd card first!
You are are welcome. May the odds be ever in your favor! Hope to read of your approvals soon.
@Anonymous You are welcome and Goodluck!
I just apped for the CR card and got instant approval for 20k, then tried for a CLI on my GR card and got the 24 hour message. Do these messages usually result in a CLI?

@Anonymous. Congratulations on your approval!
24 hour message is standard. Periodically check your online portal for a change in your available credit line.
@Anonymous Congratulations on your cc approval. I would wait on an email message or check your portal regarding your Cli I'm sure you will get the Cli.
@AllZero wrote:@Anonymous. Have you considered a 2nd card with Navy? It may gain you sizable credit limit.
Given your SL on your 1st, perhaps most you may gain is 3x CLI.
My thoughts exactly. I believe a second card is your best bet.
