NFCU DTI?

Hi All,

I'm preparing to put in a NFCU application. Does anyone have data points regarding their ideal DTI?

Better results applying over the phone or online? Working to prepare to get the highest limits possible?

They pull TU - FICO 8 correct?

I want to prepare in the best way possible to get a strong credit limit, etc.

I'm considering asking for a CLI with Capital One. Can someone tell me where to find the post with that outlines

the bureaus that different lenders pull or share with me the bureau that Capital One pulls and any helpful data points regarding DTI, etc.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Re: NFCU DTI?

No worries on which bureaus Capital One pulls as they will pull all 3 for new applications. IIRC, they may even use the older scoring models. CLI request will be SP and they could even use your out dated credit report.

I would recommend reading the below from credit_is_crack
The "Which Banks Pull Which Report For Apps" list

Thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate it. How about the ideal DTIs for NFCU and Capital One?

Re: NFCU DTI?

I don't work for NFCU or C1. Thus, no clue really. Best I can do is recommend you seek AZEO. Optimize your report before applying.

Aggregate 1-9% utilization

Individual 1-29% utilization.

NFCU pulls TU 9 not 8 for new apps, and then EQ for CLIs

Re: NFCU DTI?

@credit8502020 I agree with what the other posters have shared.

Also, Capital One likes to see significant usage on their card for 3 months or so prior to the cli request. Pay well over the minimum. There is no guarantee that you will get an increase but it definitely makes it more likely.

Also also, keep in mind that Cap One cards with low limits can be hard to grow (may possibly be bucketed).

Ok. Thank you! TU 9 is even better. I appreciate you sharing this information.

Ok. Thank you. I've been using this method of higher usage and paying down to 2%. I'm planning to ask for the CLI in October or November and hopefully it will help. I've had the card and never asked for an increase so it's time to request one.
