You have great odds. Open a savings or checking, wait a few days then apply for a CC. Or you can apply right away.

Good luck on your membership. Once you are approved for membership, call into CSR and see if you have any prequal for their credit cards. Do not apply for the Flagship. That is one of the harder cards to be approved for.
Best wishes with your credit card app!
Welcome To myFICO Forums and Good Luck!
Welcome to the best CU ever NFCU. Looking at your profile I would say your odds look pretty good. I would pick a CC that is on the bottom of your list first cause that will be the grower.
After you reach your 91/3 it's skies the limit for your 2nd CC. Not sure what your income is but that may play a factor as well in order to get a 25k second card. Just treat NFCU well and they will treat you superbly.
Good luck with your bright future with NFCU.
Thank you! What is 91/3 sorry new to all of this haha!

91 days and 3 full statements
one thing NFCU really looks at is DTI (debt to income)
Lots of info here:
The feedback here for your application sounds good. I also am looking into applying for an NFCU CC. After some FICO clean up my scores are as follows:
Equifax/TU/Experian
FICO 8: 753, 633, 640
Mortgage: 779, 710, 678
FICO Bankcard 8: 717, 623, 635
FICO Bank (5, 4, 2): 786, 712, 714
i have an AT&T collection I paid in full in 2017 that is holding back my TU and Experian scores. Any thoughts in my approval odds? Thank you in advance.

You're in slightly better shape than I was when I started with NFCU. And I was approved for their Cash Rewards. Only a $500 SL. But that's okay. I've got checking and savings there. My direct deposit is now going there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more love when I get to 91/3. But, mostly, I look forward to a rosy future with them.
