Every bit counts. Before long it will be a monster. My first Navy card was $500 CR. It now has grown to $33kSmiley Wink

I completely agree. It's much more usable now and I really like the card overall. I had another card months ago that started out at the same 1.5k limit and it's over 2k now. Long-term I think Navy will keep opening up more doors. It's just weird to me that Penfed ended up being the most generous from the start in terms of SLs.

Tradelines: Macy’s - $18k, Penfed Power Cash Rewards - $10k, Ethan Allen (TD Bank) - $5.7k, Kay Jewelers - $5.5k, Appliances Connection - $5.3k, Jared - $5.25k, Best Buy (Citi) - $5k, Dell Preferred Account - $3.5k, Samsung - $3.2k, Firestone CFNA - $3.2k, Capital One Platinum - $3k, Mercury MC - $2.25k, Williams Sonoma - $2.1k, Wayfair (Fortiva) - $2k, Amazon Store Card - $1.8k, Apple Card - $1.7k, NFCU cashRewards - $1.5k, CareCredit - $1.5k, B&H Photo - $1.5k, Adorama - $1.25k, Ebay MC - $1k, Sam’s Club MC - $1k, American Eagle - $1k, Ollo MC - $600, Mission Lane Visa - $500, NY & Company - $500, Walgreens - $500, Home Depot - $500, Target RED Card - $500, CapOne Secured MC 0 AF - $500, Penfed Overdraft LOC - $500

Current FICOS: Mid 640s-50s on all reports, Ch 7 BK D/C Aug 2019
Starting scores: EX - 534, EQ - 574, TU - 516 | Total TLs: $91k approx | Total Utilization: 17%, getting this back down

Just shows lenders can vary for everyone. Penfed kinda loathes my profile. Only $1500 on my first card with them, was $500 too before i faught for an increase after 1 year, closed it, since then tons of denials, a $4100 cc , and no offers ever in 5 years. Navy on the other doesnt mind my low income and rewards my responsible use of my credit. Go figureSmiley Wink

My twinkee. Penfed doesn't seem to like me either. Been trying to build a relationship with them but keep getting denied. They seem to not like what happed "Divorce 2015". I feel really blessed to have found Navy..

Wow, a huge congratulations on the latest CLI and achieving your goal, @AverageJoesCredit

Re: Navy Federal Datapoints Thread for Membership, CLIs, and Credit Card Products

just a quick Data point,

Cash Rewards 23300 9.65%

More Rewards Amex 23000 9.65%

Platinum - 15800 5.99%

Cloc 10000 15.9%

i've been with NFCU since 2016,  first products were cash rewards 1.8k approval and cloc.  requested one sp CLI at some point when first eligible to 15k. (approved).  shortly after i apped for the More Rewards instant approval for 15k (current CLI is from autos).  almost 1 year ago i apped for the Platinum just becaused i wanted to see if i could get the lowest APR and my mythical 3rd card with NFCU, instant approval at lowest ARP and 15800 SL.  once a year on the More rewards and cash rewards i've requested APR reductions through the online message and each time i've been granted lower APR's until now all my cards are at the lowest currenly possible.

credit scores when first approved in 2016 were around the 680-700 fico 8.. current scores all 800+ fico 8

I had problems requesting a credit limit increase yesterday at the NFCU website. I received an error code at the end of the request so I was kind of lost. I did not received any alerts, not an email or anything of that nature. So thhis morning I was going to request for a credit limit increase. When I logged in to NFCU website I went to my credit card and clicked on it to begin the progress and I noticed my credit limit had a new credit limit.

I asked for more than the 5k and was granted the amount.

Very nice. How much did you ask for and what was given?

Sorry it took so long for me to get back. My credit limit on my card was only 3k. I ask for an 8k increase. They gave me a 6k increase. I logged out went about my day and was approved when I came back about 8 hours later.

Fico's at the time of approval: TU 660, EQ 656, EX 672. My CLI approval was approved, but I have not seen a hardpull or a softpull.

Total utilization at 1%. I wonder if I did not get the 8k because I asked for more than 3x my limit?

Re: Navy Federal Datapoints Thread for Membership, CLIs, and Credit Card Products

Going to attempt an 8K cli on my $9k Flagship like Joe did earlier to see if 4k cli is over. This is on a card that I took some limit off and moved to another card (Platinum boosted to $49k to take advantage of 0% offer) on 3/14/21 but last time Flagship had a CLI was 11/19/20 so we'll see what happens. I did just get a ton of inq's lately (12 new accounts) but they haven't all hit my report. Figure now is a great time to get that CLI before they hit and I have to garden for another year.

The $4k CLI cap is definitely gone. I count 10 Navy CLIs of $5k -$8k reported in the Approvals forum since @Anonymous broke the news a week ago. Got one myself.

Fingers crossed for you! Hoping to see another big one.

I have never asked for a CLI and tried by online today. Once I completed all the information and hit submit. I got a error code saying that they are trying to fix the problem and it locked me out of my account.

Has that happened to anyone. I never received an email or any notification after I attempted for a credit limit increase.

What actually happens after you hit the submit button?

It looks like this on the app (I didn't bother asking for much, I've been at their "maximum exposure limit" for a while now):

Lol yes thats what you would see unless its instant approval. Max exposure hasnt stopped me either AddieSmiley Happy. Unless you try you will never know how far you can go. 50k is my goal 😆

🥰😘

Mission accomplishedSmiley Happy 😃 😎 in approvals for relevant dps!

I've got nothing, so I'm assuming it's another "maximum limit denial". 😂🤣😂 I'm waiting for a letter in the mail.
