I have two cards with NFCU and both have $25k limits. I have 3 direct deposits per month that are a decent amount. Just curious if I'd get a HP or not.
Thanks!
If you request via the app or on desktop, yes, it's an SP. If you call in, it's likely to be a HP.

do your reports still have to be unfrozen even if it's going to be a SP?

No, your reports can be frozen as you already have an account with them so they are allowed by law to review your credit with SP even if they are frozen/locked. Good luck with your CLI.

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing. I look forward to testing the new limits -- whatever they are -- myself in a few months.
Reading through NFCU megathread on when to app for 2nd card, CLI and PC. I get a nice snail-mail surpirse today from NFCU citing "You've been been upgraded to a new - Visa Signature cash Rewards Card". I didn't ask for it but, i'm not complaining so I'll accept.
Including History and NFCU relationhip Data Points since (me and we) appreciate data points:
What's the point? Be responsible with NFCU and they'll take care of you - something many of you have taught me from your posted experiences on these boards. Let's keep passing it along. I'm loving my NFCU ![]()
Upgrade - OK - I'll Take It

The CLI is probably why you were upgraded. While it's no longer a hard boundary and VISA Signatures have been issued with much lower limits, the traditional minimum for a VS is $5,000, and a lot of lenders seem to automatically upgrade you after a CLI pushes you over that threshold.

Yes, absolutely correct.
When my cash rewards cli'd to 9700 from 3700 NAVY automatically upgraded me to signature and sent me a new signature card.
Wut's a VISA Signature?
@SUPERSQUID @Anonymalous - Got it! It's all new to me, no one ever in the world of financial institutions has ever sent me love letters like this. Not long ago I got a solid "pre-approval" from PenFed anytime letters like this rendering good news is symbolic to my hard work in resuscitating my credit health and worthiness.
On a seperate note, since I only have (1) CC with NFCU what do you recommend should be the 2nd NFCU card? I'd love to get $25K card like some have posted on here.
