Not long ago I got a solid "pre-approval" from PenFed anytime letters like this rendering good news is symbolic to my hard work in resuscitating my credit health and worthiness.
On a seperate note, since I only have (1) CC with NFCU what do you recommend should be the 2nd NFCU card? I'd love to get $25K card like some have posted on here.
@FLLGuy, If I might, I would get a NFCU card that you could benefit most from?
Couple things,
1) SUB
2) If you end up with a card, and another fits your spend better, you might be able to do product change to another card.

Depends on your priorities, but from a rewards standpoint the Cash Rewards pairs very well with the More Rewards. 3% on the most important categories for a lot of middle America, plus 1.75% on everything else. I don't think there's much evidence that any of the cards are better or more difficult than the others when it comes to things like approval chances or raising limits, with the exception of the secured card and the Flagship, though some disagree. Achieving $25K is fairly easy, it just may take some time with the BK.
Agree with @M_Smart007 that SUBs matter. They're pretty good right now, but there's a chance they might be better over the holiday season.

I agree with m smart and anonymalous,
research the cards NAVY has and pick the one that serves you best.
Beware of apping for the flagship tho , its uw is tough.
Oops! I messed up unintentionally. Lol. I wasn't planning on applying for a new card so I asked for a CLI on my Cash Rewards. Got $6,000 increase. Then I applied for Flagship Rewards. Approved for $6,200 starting credit limit. Should have done it the other way around. I know. Kicking myself. But hopefully I can get a CLI in six months.

@southernblueeyes, Congrats on your CLI & Approval.
Not all is lost.
You can ask for a CLI on your NEW Flagship @ 91/3 (91 days and 3 full statements)
Just do it on the web portal or phone App. "SP"
You have absolutely nothing to lose!
ETA: Consensus is that, NFCU could be offering higher than the normal $8K CLI's,
So I would ask for a $10K increase, they will counter, if not willing to give you the full amount.

With a new card, you can request a CLI in 3 months (91 days/3 full billing cycles). Then every 6 months (181 days). I just passed the 9 month mark myself, and after 2 increases my card has a CL $16,000 higher than I started with.
(Edit: Waited too long to hit post, and got beaten by @M_Smart007!)
Thank you!! I didn't know the 3 month wait was for all new cards. I will try after my 3rd full statement. 😁

Does anybody else have their pending transactions disappear and then reappear when they are posted? Is this just a Navy thing or a nRewards thing?
The available credit seems to be correct, but the transactions do this thing where they disappear after they've been pending and reappear as posted transactions after a little while.
It's a tad disconcerting compared to what I've been used to
Does anyone know if when graduating from nrewards to cash rewards does that count as a new card? So would it be 3/90 or 6/180 for a CLI?

I've noticed that, yea, but not just on the nRewards. I've sometimes seen it on my CashRewards and MoreRewards.
