I called the number and the agent submitted my request for a $29,000 total credit limit amount. I wanted to play it safe and just go with the 4,000$ increase (as he mentioned the $33,000 request was declined, since we're all confirming that they're not approving anything more than 4k , however the erroneous $25,500 was accepted) I've confirmed the $25,500 showing on my Account Management page but I'm confident I would have been approved for the $4,000 increase if I did it the first time around.
He sent communication to request the cancellation of the first amount so I'm hoping they understand. At this point I'll have to wait 1-3 days or until something updates on my account profile. I'll submit any updates as they come. Thanks for the replies and the well wishes.

It's not looking good--- I received the More Rewards email which included my card info , so added it to my Apple Wallet. While I was on the phone to get verfication, I asked the phone agent if they saw the previous notes and asked if she was able to see any updates. She indicated that she did see it and that the updated request made by NFCU (I'm guessing for the $29,000 I talked about with the other agent) was declined and I would be receiving a letter indicating the reason. I still feel that the decline was caused by my submitting the incorrect amount and additional attempts to request another CLI via the app, however I'm eager to see the letter and will send a recon request accordingly. The silly thing is that I was really anticipating this date for the CLI (and the app for the More Rewards was just an afterthought) but instead I end up getting the new cc approval but didn't get to request the maximum request due to this avoidable/silly mistake.
