check out $0 AF first, then choose what excites you (cash or MR), the go from there....

Don't app just for the sake of it or because you're prequalified. To me it honestly sounds like your bases are pretty well covered if the goal is MR points.

I believe ED is gas and EDP is gas and groceries.

BBP excepted (which OP has) no-AF Amex cards don't really offer much IMO.

ED is 2x groceries (before 1.2x)
EDP is 3x groceries, 2x gas (before 1.5x)
