I have a prom 0% APR BT balance of $4K on the card. So I only decreased the balance $800 to get the increase (hmmmm).
Ooooo, thanks. Just did our first BT and was just wondering that. You read my mind from afar!
Congrats on your cli too!
Thank you. I really was expecting another decline because the card UT was still $25.4%. Maybe as long as it's ~28.9%, they're cool. But, who knows with Disco? The increase was a pleasant surprise.

Well, it looks like that balance drop crossed the 28.9% threshold (or maybe a flat 30% for Discover algorithm purposes) as you moved from ~31% utilization to ~26% with that $800 paydown. Just something to consider from a percentage standpoint and to keep in mind going forward with others that may be approved/denied for a CLI with similar numbers.

I am currently using 900 of my $2,000 balance. And I was declined, and waiting for the reason in the mail. Most likely using too much of my credit limit. I will pay down the balance and request another credit limit increase. I can hopefully get one after I'm paid down to less than 30%. Does anyone know if I can request a credit limit increase 2 days after my last one? Since it was a denial of course
You can request one as often as you'd like. I would try again after doing the paydown to below 30%. If that doesn't work, wait until the sub-30% balance reports to the bureaus and Discover gives you a fresh pull of your Fico score and try again.
