Looking into adding the Redstone FCU VS next month.
It appears I need to join the FCU first, can anyone give me a low-down on the current hoops to jump? An article I found looks like it was semi-gated, but people around here seem to be saying "anyone can join". Is there a specific known bicycle club I need to sign up for first or something, or are they really open to "anyone" without hoop-jumping now?

https://www.ausa.org/membership/basic
this is the free org to join which qualifies you for Redstone, if you have a FFA membership from another CU that would work too.
they probably won't even confirm when you tell them when you join, but feel free to do either just in case. AUSA is free, FFA is like $8 if you don't have a free source of it from another CU or something.
I joined by becoming a member of the financial fitness association first. I used the link from FFA partners for Redstone. I applied for membership was approved after a video call.
I was able to join by being a member of the American Consumer Council.

Interesting, I don't see that one on their list? Does it cost to join?

Now I'm not sure. Maybe it was the Financial Fitness Association.

Thanks, sounds like FFA may be the way to go.
One more thing: do they do a hard pull to join?

No, it was a soft pull.
Thanks all. Did app yesterday, called them for video call today, approved within minutes. Will plan to snag the CC later this month 👍
Welp, that plan lasted what, a week? Thank goodness it was only a soft pull.
