Question about the Apple Card

Hi guys,

I recently got approved for a Chase Sapphire Preferred. I got curious and checked the Apple Card soft pull and it says I am approved for $10,000 at a good APR.

my question is would it be ok to pull the trigger on the Apple Card? Or will Chase ding me for applying for a card after their approval? I am under the 5/24 rule.

Re: Question about the Apple Card

In general, you should be okay getting the Apple Card.   How's your utilization?

Re: Question about the Apple Card

Thank you for your response. My utilization is 2%. I pay all cards off before statement closes except one card which I leave about $30 of a balance.

Re: Question about the Apple Card

Excellent.

If I were you, I would go for it.  Chase shouldn't be too concerned about one new account afterwards.

You should be fine! One card is not going to make a big deal, they just don't like you to go on app spree after getting their card!

@FireMedic04,

Just providing my DP's, as in ALL things credit YMMV!

Many accounts opened before  "Chase"  on 12/26/2021

Then  "DCU"  on 1/1/2022

No Adverse Action by Chase.

I waited 8 months for my next approval.

I would NOT go on any so called "APP" spree's after a Chase Approval,

as there are many "DP's of people being shut down by Chase."

Re: Question about the Apple Card

You should be fine, if the Apple card makes sense for you go for it. Chase should not have any problems with one new account after theirs, especially if the rest of your profile makes sense for them.
