No, not at all. The pain is that you have to reset your two retailers every quarter or you lose the discount.
From my experience, US Bank does not do product changes. They won't change your existing credit card to a different one without a complete new application.

US Bank does product changes. There are many threads on these forums about successful PCs. I was able to change an Altitude Connect into a Cash+ last year, and I plan to change my Shopper Cash Rewards into a second Cash+ next year.
Interesting. I tried to do the same thing as you did a couple of weeks ago and was refused. Instead, I cancelled the Altitude Connect card and its $15,000 credit line. That probably helped me get this new Shoppers card with the same $15,000 credit line.

How old was your account? Did the annual fee post for the second year yet?

You're more likely dodging a bullet than missing out on anything with Capital One.
I'm on Team Capital One (2 CCs, HYSA, Debit), and it looks like you have 2 cards too, so I'm wondering what you mean by this? I have had a great experience with them.
By the way, this is my 100th post on myFICO. Maybe I'll rise in rank?

I mean that I personally don't think their card offerings are that stellar nor am I thrilled with having two bucketed cards that will only grow $100 per CLI. They will be closed soon. I'm sure many people think Capital One is great for any number of reasons, I'm just not one of them.

Yeah, I can see the bucketed frustration. I guess I've never had to deal with that, so my perspective is different. You have to admit that SavorOne is really, really good. Personally, I love their 360 banking: good HYSA and amazing debit card for travel both domestically and internationally. And all their CCs have no FTF, again great for travel. I think they have a very good app as well, much better than AmEx in my opinion.
Oh, I got nothing as a result of my 100th post. ☹️

It might be really good for some but the entertainment category is useless to me, I spend all of $25 a month for streaming which would get me less than $10 back per year, I'd rather target no AF cards offering higher cash back percentages for dining/grocery and I'm never going to be over the spending cap for cards I'm interested in so SavorOne being unlimited 3% is like meh. Satisfied with Chase and USB banking products so no interest in those.

If it didn't take so long, gardening, I would of said, okay, on closing for US Bank. I think you made a mistake, but congrats on opening a new one with sub, that is never a mistake!! I didn't get many options to PC my Altitude Connect (no longer an AF card) until my first year anniversary, which just happened in September. Then they opened up the choices to everything they have. I chose the Cash +. Thought about the Altitude Reserve, but it just doesn't fit my spend/needs with the AF.
There have been reports of folks PC'ing to the Altitude Reserve and being offered the SUB, especially on your anniversary date being the start of the 90 days to fullfill. I'm hoping I get this also with the Cash +, fingers crossed. I'll report back if so.
