I applied for the Chase Southwest card on 3/28/16 and the Chase United card on 4/1/16... Southwest went from 30 days to 2 weeks and the the United card came back with the two week message... Called the status line and both are saying two weeks still...I've been reading here on the forum if the status line is saying two weeks, perhaps more than likely it's an approval... Also I read that if it says two weeks, the application is pending verification and that one should call... I'm in limbo... I want to call if that's true but not to call if it will lead to a denial... I'm hoping it's an approval on both... What's the best solution ?

When it comes to Chase, I would say wait it out.
I would call. If it's an approval, you'll find out and stop stressing. If it's a denial, you'll find out and stop stressing AND you have the added benefit of getting reconsidered.

Or he could get grilled about his reports and be denied when if he waited it out he would have been approved. From multiple application results here and on other forums, it is FAR better to wait it out and not call. If it was an approval then it would say so on the application status line. It's still in the decision process and OP needs to be patient and not call.
Thank you for your response... Waiting a little while longer will not hurt, and from what the concensus says here on the forum, most people have had positive results in waiting..
Thank you Irish80.. I've waited patiently up til now, I will continue to do so... A few more days can be beneficial in the long run... I don't want to be grilled and denied all at once... Ouch !

You're very welcome and good luck. Those 2 week messages are usually a good sign. My last application I had to wait 23 days and I know others like FinStar had to wait a full 30 days It can drag on but in the end it's worth the wait. Chase is very backed up with applications and it's taking them time to process them all.

Right, right. Great points. Man, I did not ever imagine a day where I would get schooled by someone affiliated with Notre Dame.
