I do not have a Visa or MC and really need to apply for one as I"ll be travelling and sometimes need one. For instance to rent a car.

My info belo

Same employer 10 years. 61k income. Debt $585/monthly in car loans. Credt cards at 2% util

Last I checked scores (about 6 weeks ago). TU 667 Ex 647 E648

9 year old BK

Cap 1 CO due to fall off in next couple months (off TU already)

Student loan 1 30 day 2 and half years ago

2 car loans 2 yrs old no lates

4 store cards 2 yrs old no lates.(VS, Old Navy, Kohls, Target)

2 inquiries last May for mortgage but ended up being outbid on house so didn't follow through with mortgage.

Should I just stick with Cap 1 when looking for general credit card? Or any advice

I dont have a reg cc. My wording is confusing, sorry. I was wondering if I should just apply for a capital one and not worry about any other banks

Ok.  I know it is a long time -BK but do you by chance remember if you burn any of major lenders?  If so, how much?  Sometimes, most are willing to give a customer a second chance.

Well there you go, Capital One Quicksilver is excellent for your purposes. Good cash back card, no foreign transaction fees.

OP did not say he was looking for a travel card, said was looking for a Visa or MC because he would be travelling, gave as example car rental.
