I do not have a Visa or MC and really need to apply for one as I"ll be travelling and sometimes need one. For instance to rent a car.

Same employer 10 years. 61k income. Debt $585/monthly in car loans. Credt cards at 2% util
Last I checked scores (about 6 weeks ago). TU 667 Ex 647 E648
9 year old BK
Cap 1 CO due to fall off in next couple months (off TU already)
Student loan 1 30 day 2 and half years ago
2 car loans 2 yrs old no lates
4 store cards 2 yrs old no lates.(VS, Old Navy, Kohls, Target)
2 inquiries last May for mortgage but ended up being outbid on house so didn't follow through with mortgage.
Should I just stick with Cap 1 when looking for general credit card? Or any advice
Is Capital One your only credit card?

OP did not say he was looking for a travel card, said was looking for a Visa or MC because he would be travelling, gave as example car rental.
