Synchrony "Unverifiable application information"

I applied for a cc through Synchrony and got denied. Their reasoning was "Unverifiable application information". What does this mean? I've been accepted recently for a Discover card and a Cap One platinum card.

Re: Synchrony "Unverifiable application information"

Did they pull a credit report?

If so call them and ask what information is unverifiable and what you can provide to them to do so.

Warning, sometimes their representatives are not trained to be helpful but instead to read scripts, so you might have to escalate it a bit.  Even some of the supervisors are simply trained the same way.

Do you have a thin credit file?  When was your first credit card?  Did you check the information to make sure you didn't mix up two numbers?  Sometimes when we type our fingers don't seem to keep up with our brain.

If no credit report was pulled, then try again.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.

Re: Synchrony "Unverifiable application information"

I suggest you read a post under ‘Personal Finance’ titled ‘ SDFCU getting weirder &Wierder’ which explains in detail what ‘ Unverifiable Information ‘ means to synchrony or any financial institution.

Its good read.
