Many, MANY thanks to the OP for creating this thread and to everyone else here.

I was able to get my APR reduced from 17.99% to 13.99% and got a $1500 CLI from $4500 to $6000 on my regular Arrival card literally about 15 min ago.  I casually asked the CSR about my interest rate, and he suggested that I talk to an acct specialist to see if I was eligible to get it lowered.  He transferred me to a very nice woman who was able to lower it by 4% which she mentioned is the max amount that they can lower it at any given time.  When she asked me if I had any other questions, that's when I asked her about a CLI.   She mentioned she could submit a request without running a credit check, and so obviously I took her up on the offer Smiley Happy.  She asked me my income and then came back with a $1500 increase.  Yeah!!!!  I just logged in to the website and confirmed the new APR and CL are already there.

FYI they haven't updated my FICO score since 1/26, so even if you haven't been softed in the last 30 days, still give it a try.

Since I have just the regular platinum Arrival MC, I wonder if my new CL makes me eligible to PC to the Arrival+??  Maybe I'll try that out later this year.

Thanks again everyone for your advice and good luck!

Congratulations! That's huge! If you want that PC should try for it later, as you said. That 4.00% APR really makes a huge difference to me.

Re: The BarclayCard CLI Soft Pull thread

Tell me about these offers that come up on our accounts. Are they something that the accounts qualify for but people don't get them unless they call and ask?

My current statements close tomorrow. Score update through Barclay is on the 19th of each month. I've been cleaning up my TU report so I've seen a score increase when viewing it here and on the Walmart site. I'll wait for that to post on Barclay's site so they see it then call to see if I have any offers available.

EQ - 698 / TU - 672 / EX - 686

Capital One Savor - $16000 / Capital One Venture - $13000 / Travel Advantage Visa - $11500 / TD Cash Card - $7500 / Bread Rewards AMEX - $6950 / Apple Card - $6500 / TD Double Up - $5500 / Mercury - $5000 / Ally Master Card - $4300 / DCU Visa - $3000 / Capital One QuickSilver - $500

They seem to be hidden offers that we are never notified about unless we call. We don't know what any of us are doing to qualify or to not qualify. We've had people with low Util, low usage not get anything and at the same time we've had people with high Util (very high), high usage also not get anything. Also, we've had people get offers on both ends of that spectrum as well. We don't know what triggers it but a lof of these people got these offers in their first 7 months of having opened the account, but some that have been with Barclay's longer have also gotten these offers.

We don't know and there seems to be no correlation of Util, spending, timing, or anything we can easily see. Try tomorrow and see, good luck! Smiley Happy Let us know how it turns out.

Yes! Yes!! Please keep us posted.

Edit: If someone could go through all these pages and count the amount of PC's, APR reductions, and CLI's received via soft pulls and count them by type I would greatly appreciate it!

PC: #

APR Red: #

CLI: #

Thank you Secret Azure for starting this thread.  I just called and got asked for an APR reduction and if there was a SP CLI's available.  No APR reduction available, but got a $1500 CLI on my US Airways.

Here are my data points:

9/2013

Arrival + approved $800 CL immediately recon'd to $5K (very thin file at this point)

6/2014

Auto CLI on Arrival + $5K--> $9K (9th statement, heavy usage)

6/2014

SM approved $10K CL (thicker file due to Amex backdate)

Moved $5K to CL to Arrival +

9/2014

Closed Arrival +

Moved CL to SM total $19K

12/2014

Approved for US Airways

Had to move $5K from SM to open (SM $14K, USAir $5K)

3/2015

Called 24/7 analyst, transferred 2 times, no APR reduction available

SP CLI on USAir $5k --> $6.5K

Almost no usage, only $.50 + AF to get bonus, currently have a $25 credit balance do to paperless promo

AAOA: 4.4 years

TU Score: 755

Barclay SP's every 3 months approx

Total Accounts: 26

Total CL: $208,500

Total Util: 5%

Congrats! Higher limit is always better!

Absolutely!  The APR reduction doesn't matter to me, as I always PIF.

But The SP CLI is a great benefits, especially considering Barclay will allow CL's to be moved and combined.  So when I close the US Air in December, I can move the CL over to the SM so it will be $20.5K

Woah that's a big limit! And then can try to do this again in 7 months or so!

I could use another 0% 6-12 mo offer. It's time to let go of my '09 Macbook Pro. Smiley Indifferent
