Called customer service (number on back of card) with question concerning available credit. The CSR was struggling to help (maybe didn't understand what I needed). I asked to be transferred to credit analyst. When the analyst picked up we discussed my issues. I stated my main concern were two charges I had to make later in the day which would take me close to 100% utilization. She replied my account was eligible for a SP CLI would that help. I accepted the $500 increase. Not a big increase but was more then I expected. I opened the Rewards card in April.

She said that I currently had a 0% promotional APR and that was the lowest they offered. I tried to explain that I wasn't calling about the promotional APR and that I wanted to speak to an Analyst regarding some questions I had about my account.
Then she said she wouldn't transfer me unless I told her what questions I had so I said I wanted to inquire about a SP cli to which she offered to help me. I told her no, because I didn't want a hard pull and asked for a 3rd time to please be transferred to an Analyst. Then she put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back and repeated herself saying that neither was ever going to be possible and she wasn't going to transfer me because they would just tell me the same thing.
My 12 month statement just closed last month; PIF
Just wanted to update this. My 13th statement just cut and I logged into my account to see CLI from $900 to $3,400! I decided to call in and see if I could get an APR reduction but they still show me at 0%. Frontline wouldn't trasnfer me to retentions and said she wanted to try to help me first. My 0% promo should have ended on 7/15 (according to her and my statement) so I assumed I was back to my 22.99% APR. She said for some reason they showed my 0% was good unitl my next statement cut on 9/12. Not sure where those extra two months are coming from, but they can't look inot an APR reduction until my 0% is over so I'll try again next month!
Just wanted to post and say originally opened Barclay Rewards middle of July 2015 and got $1,300, I called looking for an APR reduction and stated i'd be traveling overseas and would like to use the card more there and not worry if I carry a balance -- Declined the APR reduction because card was to 'new' (also, I had not yet charged anything to the card) the rep then said "I do see here I'm able to give you a $500 dollar increase CL if you would like." I asked if it was a SP or a HP and he advised SP. Obviously I accepted.
Started using the card a bit now, will hit CLI button in October after a few statements.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I believe using the Luv Button would be a HP.

yes. 100%

I believe I also read several times that the luv button resulted in a HP. Anyway, is two months following account activation too soon to request an apr reduction/CLI? I've run over 3k of my 4k limit and paid amounts prior to statement closing.
What's your total spend that you have put on the card (over the lifetime of the card) and how much have you paid of it? If they see you're able to pay in huge chunks they seem to be more giving with their CLI's.
