Anybody have success with a SP cli on a Ring?
Evening Fellas,
I just received some nice offers on my SallieMae MC. I don't use that card that much, but the previous 7k was one of my lowest limits so I called in and asked for retentions after being connected to a CSR. They transferred me, then I proceeded to ask about a SP CLI and or APR reduction. She asked which was more important to me and I said the SP CLI. She said lets try that and we still may have the APR offer avail. She completed the SP and it bumped me from 7k to 10k. She then said the promo was still available for the APR reduction and it changed my APR to 10.24% (not sure what it was before). I said, great thanks for the help today. She said, WAIT! I have another offer for you. Spend 1k over the next 90 days and receive 5k in points! I said sure, apply it to my account!
Nice love from the Barclay today.

Not sure if this is possible. If you try it let me know. If you have a recent HP they may reuse it but it seems unlikely otherwise. (Have not tried yet though).
So after looking at this forum and having my Barclay's Arrival limit stuck at 4000 for 18 months, called in. Asked for APR reduction.
Got trasferred to a specialist. He said they can reduce my APR from 15% to 11% , I said OK. read disclosures, done.
Asked for CLI. He asked your income. told. Confirmed that it was SP CLI. Increase of $2k to $6K.
Read disclosures. Done. He did it as if it was standard procedure. Really straightforward.Asked to PC to Arrival WMC since limit was over $5K. He said they periodically review that. So no.
Overall happy. This has been one of the slowest growing cards and SD'ed long time back since I got CSP. But CLI is a CLI.
Thnak you for the inputs.
I called in today and asked for APR reduction and if there were any offers on my account. The reps were quite friendly but no APR reduction or SP CLI.
NFL rewards card with 2k limit. Was hoping they would increase so I could take advantage of the low interest BT offer.
At any rate this thing goes into the sock drawer now. It's my lowest limit card and other than buying a pack of gum once in a while, its going to collect dust.
Just as well, better for me to use my other cards.
I called in as well, transferred to credit analyst, asked about APR reduction, then CLI, no to both. I think Barclays has caught on to the MyFico callers and toughened up.
It looks like we are speaking with someone in the Retensions Dept when we call to see if they can lower the APR and/or find out if there are any offers available for the card. Why is that? When I think of retensions I think of them trying to keep us. It's not like we're calling to say we're going to cancel. That's the department that people usually get transferred to when they call to cancel Directv.
