How long have you had an open account with Barclay? Almost 5 months
What date did you get a soft pull CLI? 12/20/16
Was this your first CLI with Barclay or not? Yes
(If you want to include this: How much % was the increase?) 28.5% ($3500 to $4500)
Called and asked for any APR reduction offers, ended up with a 4 percentage point APR reduction and a $1000 SP CLI.

Sorry for the late response (and for necroing this thread) but unforunately, this does not work with the Ring card. I called and they stated this card is not eligible for an APR lower than what I had (8.25%) and that any increase would require a hard pull. I literally only put a balance on this card just so that they wouldn't have the excuse of saying "the card is never used" and that did not help. Afterwards, I paid the balance off and put it away.
I made this thread for the sole purpose of attempting to get a soft pull CLI for the Barclaycard Ring as it has the lowest APR of any card that is easy for the general public to get (with eligible credit scores). My answer turned out to be a big fat "no" but during this mission I think this thread helped many people lower their APR's and credit limits so I suppose it was worth it. Good luck and happy crediting!
There are plenty of cards with 0 percent interest deals. My wife has a USAA card with 18 months zero interest. Why would anyone pay 8 percent when you can pay zero? Even if you needed to pay a transfer fee, 3 percent fee over 18 months is better than 8 percent.
Requested a CLI online last week and was declined. When I received my denial letter, it show my FICO score from the last soft pull Barclay does each month (this score was from 5/22/17), and when I spoke to an analyst through a backdoor number, they also confirmed there was no hard pull on my account.
Has anyone else recently initiated a CLI online or over the phone (without speaking to retention) and NOT have a hard pull on their credit?
Curious is this was an exception or a new trend, like AMEX starting to approve new accounts without a HP.

That would be interesting to know, whether Barclays has changed its policy about luv button CLI requests, and gone to SP instead of HP.

The only thing is they needed to do a HP if I recon'ed over the phone since the original report used was systematic (what Barclay soft pulled on my account). Wondering if anyone else has similar DPs?
Has anyone been sucessful at doing an online cli request recently?
After the APR reduction, did Barclays offer a SP increase, or did you ask for it?
