I agree. Get the card you really want before going for others.

Alright guys. Decisions. Just to reiterate - Freedom is at 6 months today (6 statements have cut). I have a couple of hours to kill during lunch today. Chase branch is 2 minutes from work. Time to pull the trigger on this one? Nervous!

I disagree with them. You should have over a year of revolving history and at least one account above or near 5k. This is a harder card to get than the freedom.
Let us know how it turns out, I have already been suprised once today. Lol. Good luck!
I appreciate the honest opinions from everyone. I'm right on the edge of applying, so itchy!
I think you should be fine for getting the CSP based on your income and your history with the Freedom. Yes, the CSP is a difficult card to obtain but you have a history with them already. I think you'll be approved just not for a much higher limit than $5k.

Pull the trigger... You have a lot of money with them. Have 6 months of history etc.. App. away and let us know results.
So I went to the branch today. the banker told me that I was qualified for the slate and not the csp. Weirdly I can't see these offers when I check the pre approval site. The branch was closing and they said they can't do the app today. Now .. I walked out disappointed. I was ready to roll and take the hp and everything. The banker almost talked me out of it. She said go for slate, but I have no use for that card. Damn! I feel awkward to go again tomorrow and ask for the app. No idea why I have this feeling!

Why don't you do it online? Is there something on your report that you are worried about? If you really want it, go for it. Lets wrap this baby up.
Don't listen to that banker lady. If you don't need the slate, then don't get it. I would hate to tell you to app for the CSP and you not get it. But, your profile looks like you have a shot.
