US Bank CLI - strange message, what gives?

So I thawed my reports so I could request a cli from US Bank on my REI MC. Clicked the menu selection for Request Limit Increase and it didn't even take me to the page.  It just displayed the message "We're already reviewing this request"  What!?  Anyone ever seen this?

Re: US Bank CLI - strange message, what gives?

I saw that message a bunch of times in the month-plus that followed my initial CLI request from them. My reports were frozen when I made the first request, so that caused it to go into some sort of pending status for a while. They wouldn't let me submit another request until that first one expired on their end (unclear exactly how long that took).

Had you already tried for a CLI from them within the past couple months?

I think USB is having website issues.  For quite some time, when I click on CLI, it would tell me that part of their website is not available and they are working on it.

Good points guys. Actually I only thought about it after looking at @MarkintheHV's post. All I need is for it to be at 10k and I'm happy.

@Curious_George2 actually did request a cli about 2months ago but reports were frozen... definitely didn't expect this one. I can just pack it up for 9 months or so.

Re: US Bank CLI - strange message, what gives?

That's probably it.

It's strange. They tried to HP me on the first request but that got blocked by my TU freeze. It took about two months before I could get past that message you posted above. I submitted a second request then. They didn't attempt an HP, but they sent me a denial letter via snail mail saying they couldn't process the request while my reports were frozen. So it kinda seems like they might have only SP'ed me that time, but I'm inquiry-averse, so I'm not going to unfreeze. CLIs are nice, but for me, right now, they aren't worth any chance of an HP.

One other strange thing: even though you were prevented from submitting a request this time, you will get a denial letter (or two, or three... if you bumped into that message multiple times). Merely starting down that road is enough to trigger their letter process.

@Curious_George2 gotcha. And that's why I was confused. Technically I didn't even get to "request" the increase. All I did was click on the link to access the page where you initiate the request. Weird. I'll look for the letter(s) as I did click on it a couple of times. Thanks for the clarification.

It's the craziest thing. Too bad there wasn't a Webcam filming my reaction  😆
