Thinking of applying to Union Bank for their Platinum card to take advantage of their no balance transfer fee.
Any thoughts/comments/reviews for Union Bank and their productds? I know they're out in the West coast mostly.
MUFG Union Bank is decent, but be aware they are in the process of merging into US Bank. US Bank is expected to complete the purchase and merge by the end of the year, at which point MUFG Union Bank will no longer exist ...

Is it worthy applying for? Would those cards he transferred over? Is this a way to build relationship with US Bank go tap into some of their cards in the future?

If your profile supports it. it is a good card overall although i only use it like once every 4-6 months as have better cards so gets min use, but good for some certainly. also if you are over 2x12 it can be an in with US Bank as well if you want to be with them and possibly pc to cash+ or the likes in the future as should be possible. they pull experian and ask a slew of public record questions so make sure you have a good memory of old phone #'s and license plates etc lol.. think it was like 6 questions i was like **bleep** but had my credit report and car near me ![]()
