That's about as surefire as it gets with Chase.  Did they mention the CL you would get as well?  I know with the firm offers other than from the portal / just for you they tend to give you a preview of the CL and APR.

I looked through all the details and didn't see a CL indicated.

It's been a couple of days now... It might be time to call them and prod them a bit on the status.  Good way to end the week before you have to wait for them to be in the office again Monday.

On some of my CHASE account approvals, I just kept checking the login page for my existing Chase credit account.

When you are approved, the new card will show up there pretty quickly as a new line of credit with the approved CL and APR.

The previously mentioned phone 'status' hotline is probably the quickest way to check if you don't have any existing Chase accounts.

In your position, the only way you would know is to just apply. If you have not opened 5 (credit cards/loan....Store cards don't apply) accounts in the past 24 months I would say just apply, if so I would not.

I hate to be pedantic but the highlighted portion is incorrect.  Loans are installment credit accounts so they are not counted under the 5/24 rule.  Store cards are absolutely counted if they are revolving credit accounts; store charge cards are not counted but those are increasing rare.

The general rule is that if you've opened 5 or more revolving credit accounts you will be denied by Chase.

I have the 4 preapprovals with set APR and I have 5 opened cards in the past year. I've seen multiple occasions where people have been approved with 5+. Not pushing my luck though...I think

If you can meet the SUB then it's worth a try.  A denial isn't the end of the world.

True. The only reference to CL is that it would be a minimum of $5k. EVerything else seems set

My score went down 2 points for the inquiry. That's it.
