Thanks for the detailed write up. Confirms a lot of the discussion around USBank being slow, yet for a good file, worth the wait.
Good luck on the card CL.

Thanks...Will will be checking every morning for the next 3 days lol.. I honestly think I will win this, but you just never know.. From what the UW was saying it sounded to good to be true... Will update when I know good or bad.
Also my file isn't that good lol, granted over 700, but some deffinete baddies.. Think it is the money I have in their bank more than my file, but they see I have turned over a new leaf and can manage 10k+ and 20k+ CL's as well.
Update:
Whammy... Kinda unexpected as the UW I spoke with yesterday said it looked good to him, guess under manual review no go.. Wait for letter, still have a huge 1k CL lol.. Use it for 50 a month and see if it grows.. Still happy to be in with US Bank..
Just wanted to let you all know, will let you know when I get the card and the letter stating why they couldnt increase the CL.. Guessing it is due to derogs of course.

It's just one of those YEMV situations with US Bank. If the profile is strong enough, they can increase the initial SL. If there are any negatives or lots of new accounts, inquiries, etc. then it's going to be a no-go. At least you gave it a shot
Had to try... Who knows could be baddies, could be the new 8 accounts in 8 months, etc... As stated not really suprised as I am still happy to be in with them regardless. Didn't hurt me to try. Would of thought a decent score 710 and my relationship would of gotten me it,but I guess that is what got me the initial pre-approval.. All good still, just hope it grows over time.

@Anonymous,
Sorry to hear... U.S bank will grow with you so hang in there..
Wow. too bad after everything that first UW said.
Oh well could of been worse, the card could of been declined.. Still in with a ultra conservative lender is how I see it.. Gotta find the positives

In my reading of US Bank, they are reasonable with time and some utilization (once you are in). They have a US Bank "Customer Relationship Score" they use for some bank products. Don't know what products. Was able to get CLIs on my US Bank Credit cards. They made me wait over a year to do the increases. Also, I have product changed cards with SPs. Oh the CLIs were SPs. Yes, I am a US Bank customer and used a Personal Banker to obtain my credit cards and US Bank Premier Plus Line of Credit. The credit line increases were by a telephone banker. They have been reasonable but sure are strict. Even reallocated my credit lines with no HP or SP.

Congratulations on getting the card, but why only $50 per month? It will grow, and I will guess it will grow taller with more use. I've not had any problems with US Bank, even when carrying fairly substantial ($4k - $6k) interest bearing balances on my first card, which was $10k at the time, other than a call looking for significant payments to let them know their risk wasn't so bad.
