Venmo Bonus offer

I want to apply for Venmo credit card but I do want to get the sign up bonus. Any tricks how to get that? Do you have to be a active Venmo user to get that?

Seems that it was an offer in the past. As I read it was a $150 bonus for spending $1000 in 180 days, but it seems to be gone as of January 15th 2021. Seems there isn't a bonus anymore unfortunately.

I applied and was approved 3 days ago for the Venmo Card and I was offered $200 statement credit on a $1000 spend. 
I had a pre approval in the app.

@Anonymous I don't think there's anything particular that is triggering this SUB. I have an account, but have literally never used it. In the app I got the preapproval offer a few days ago. The next day I got the offer via email. What is odd is that they both say the "offer" (assumming referring to the SUB) is good if I apply by 3/31, but it also says the preapproval is good thru 5/19 so the SUB does seem time restricted.

then I got the same offer via email

Any previous experience with Synchrony that may be tied to your email?

I've used Venmo and tied it to my AMEX but no offers or previous relationship with Sync for me

@cashorcharge I don't have a very dense history with sync.

• I had a $10k JCP card from 2015-2017, then closed it
• I had a Marvel card @ $25k when it first came out, then closed it in 2018
• Then reapplied for another Marvel card in late 2019 that I have now @ $2k -- that has never budged. Very little to no use on that bad boy -- it was a vanity pickup lol

By the time I was eligible for a CLI the pandemic hit so got a no several months in a row and just stop trying. It's still there at the original $2k limit. Other than that, I don't have any other sync cards.

@credit_is_crack  Thanks for the info. Probably the bonus offer is available until 03/30 and your still preapproved until 05/19 without bonus offer.
