I have tried..for 3 years in a row now to get a Walmart Mastercard/Store Card.
Just tried again today got this message:
"We appreciate your interest in Walmart Credit Card - it will
take 7-10 days to get back to you."
..What the french toast...
My mother was approved with a EX 632 and I think a TU of 667 but she was paying very well for about 2 years before applying (Never had a BK)
Approved for the store card (Not MC)

Synchrony Bank, the issuer of the Walmart MC/Walmart store card, uses several criteria when approving accounts:
1) AAOA
2) Income level
3) Any other cards that have been issued by Synchrony
4) Number of inquiries on TU CR
Hope this helps! ![]()

How are you getting your FICO scores? Sounds like something really bad is on there or one of you pulled the wrong score. Do you have a thread on here that tells your credit story of all the good and bad you have had?
I would assume that you are getting your scores from myfico. If this is the case, why the big difference between what you have in your signature and what Syc pulled for your Walmart app. Looks like a serious discrepency. I would verify by checking your reports to see if something new reported. Good Luck!!

Yes I'm getting my scores from MyFico...
So what do I do now? Request my credit report from Sync?
i'm flipping out..I've worked my butt off to raise my score
I would definately get in touch with Sync and attempt to inquire as to why there is such a discepency with the scores. I would request to talk to someone in management in order to bypass all of the script talk (if you know what I mean). I am not an expert whatsoever but my main purpose would no longer be the approval (which may come anyway if this gets staightened out) but where did they get that score. Purchase a copy of your report and have it available to mail or fax if necessary. This is just my course of stratagy, maybe someone else more versed could offer you even better direction.
Also...maybe there is some kind of internal scoring system they use..not quite sure. Wish I could offer more...
