What's Your Successful App Spree Strategy?

Sup, myFICO peeps!  Looking for specifics on tried and true, SUCCESSFUL app spree strategies...from YOUR first hand experience only.  Spreeing in 11 days for:  NFCU auto refi, CLOC, and MC Plat; Chase FU; and Citi Costo Anywhere (maybe Disco It Cash too).  Please be as clear and concise as you possibly can (like you're explaining to a 6 year old).  Cool?  Thanks in advance for your replies.  Deuces!  #KeepItReal

DPs:

732 Eq (6 iqs)

718 Ex (5 iqs)

647 TU ($812 collection I'm paying tomorrow and hopefully getting deleted, 4 iqs)

AA 1 yr 1 mo (auto loan 15 of 60 mo, Cap 1 Plat $197/3500, Cap 1 QS $0/$1000

OA 2 yr 1 mo (closed secured card)

*Scores will increase when $1400 posts to Cap 1 Plat and CRAs update in a few days?

Re: What's Your Successful App Spree Strategy?

I would STRONGLY suggest you rethink including Chase in an app spree. They don't hesitate to shut down cards.

Go for Citi before you start racking up all those HPs with NFCU. Citi is sensitive to many inquiries in the last 6 months. Grab the Disco though if you have a prequal. They're not usually credit seeking sensitive on your first card.

I would hold off on the FU. If you want that one, I would go for it first and hold off your other apps for 90 days.

Clear and concise, while keepin' it real...okay.

Don't

You have one open card and one loan. So, thin and young file with delinquency.
I dont think your credit profile can handle what you're proposing in your post.
My suggestion to you would be to pick what's really important to you credit application wise, and try for one, maybe two cards.
Wait six months then try for another. Do not include Chase cards in anything that can be described as a spree because you may not get to keep it.
I'd personally refinance auto loan because that will save you money, go for navy card and discover then stop. Chase in 6 months.
If you go with CLOC, it will be included in 5/24 calculation, so it's up to you to decide how important that is to you.

Re: What's Your Successful App Spree Strategy?

I’ll throw my vote in for DON’T app spree.

Remember, that while the concept of multiple credit applications at one time is a somewhat popular (infamous) trend around this board, it is not normal consumer behavior. Without a seasoned, thick file with some history behind it, not only can an app spree be unsuccessful but it can be harmful.

I’d say pick a card/loan or two that you really want and go for it. Wait and repeated in 6 months or longer.

Either way, good luck.

I stuck somewhere between saeren and remedios.... I would suggest getting rid of that collection no matter which way you go

My best app spree is dreaming about it and then I wake up. Its not a thing the majority of us will agree with going thru with. And advise against it. Score killer. Best way is get what you want the most and spread it out min. 4 months, then get the next one. And so on. Good luck.
