Out of curiosity what are your scores? Because once again it seems that I have slowed down in getting them once I inched over the 800 mark, feel like this happens every time. Yet the whole time I'm in the 740 zone I get them nonstop.

My EQ9 is 802 and this is the first time they have expressed any interest in me.

Re: Who is sending you mailers?

I got a mailer from amex for the BCP,  Promo $300 statement credit for 1000 spend in 3 months. No set APR though, I have until 8/31 to apply, but as tempting as that is, not too crazy about the $95 AF 😒 I've decided to stay strong & hold out to apply for US Bank Cash+ & possibly Penfed's PCR when I apply for membership (hope its still SP) late next month. I'm 14 months gardening & I don't want to crack & get the BCP even though I've heard amex takes a couple months to report, still don't wanna tempt it.

Discover: $15,900
Cap One QS: $4811
CFU: $8,000
PPMC: $12,000
US Bank Cash+: $13,000
Penfed Powercash Rewards: $7,500
AAOA: 3.5 yrs
Experian (Fico 8) 756
Transunion (Fico 8) 757
Equifax (Fico 8) 764

Re: Who is sending you mailers?

I haven't been getting any mailers for MONTHS and in the past couple of weeks, I've gotten TWO prequalified mailers from Capital One for their Platinum card.

Been there, done that. No thanks.

Re: Who is sending you mailers?

Like many have said, last week I got, for me, the very elusive PenFed 2% offer.

Today in my informed delivery shows a mailer for Hilton Honors. Not sure if I've ever gotten that one either.

It seems like the usual ones have gone by the wayside and now all the people I've never heard from are hunting for me. I'm not accepting any but it's good to know I'm still wanted. Smiley LOL

Scores ~800 across the board.

Active Cards: Chevron Texaco, Amex BCE, Barclays Ring, Chase Freedom, Chase Freedom Unlimited, Best Buy Visa, Marvel MCMust garden until 2/1/2022 to hit my goal AAOA. Smiley Indifferent

Re: Who is sending you mailers?

I've been hovering at 750-760 on all 3 CRA's Fico8 for the past few months (prepping for a mortgage), and I never see any mailers from anyone but NFCU and their 2x a week CC offers (haven't gotten a card from them... yet).  I'm beginning to wonder if I'm unsubscribed from offers.

Meanwhile, my 23yo DD is getting offers every so often from Chase Southwest, some hotel chain card (I think Hilton?), and others I don't remember.  Her scores are around 770.

My DW app'd for 5 new CC's in the past 4 months, and her scores are the best they've been in the past 2 years I've been monitoring. Scores in the 730's (this is with a BK still showing).  Took advantage of a Disco mailer during her spree a few months ago, and no mailers since... until last week when Penfed appeared with their PCR 2% card and fixed APR.  That came out of nowhere... especially since none of us are members.  Debating on if she should take advantage of this or not...

Re: Who is sending you mailers?

Questions for those of you getting mailers...I had read once that if you "opt-in" you'll be part of the marketing process to get mailers from providers that both you "already" have a relationship with and those who are "looking" for new clients.

However, I also read...that if you keep your bureau's locked...that even with "opt-in" you won't be visible to those "looking" for new clients.

Does that jive with your mailers?  I am not getting any nor have I.  I was getting way to many about 2 years ago, so I opted out....and since have locked everything down.  Early this year I opted in again, but with everything locked, I am not seeing anything.

Fact or Fiction?

I'm opted in and frozen and I got a mailer from PenFed, whom I have no relationship with.

They cannot do SP or HP pulls with locked/frozen reports unless they are coded as AR but Promotional Inquiry pulls are an entirely different beast and can be done regardless.

Re: Who is sending you mailers?

Thanks @Anonymous
I wasn't aware of the "promotional" pull that could be done.

I am guessing this is the result of "opting in" so....  Makes sense....Thank you!!!!

Interesting about PenFed considering no relationship at all.  Obviously there's something in your file that they requested "promotionally" that they like.  Before joining MF, I had never heard of PenFed or NFCU or Langley or AOD.

I had heard of NFCU. I think my grandfather was a member. But yeah, SSFCU was my only CU when I joined here. I came here with a QS, Disco, and SSFCU card 9/2018... Now I have 18 I think and I closed 3. Lol

I have been getting mailers for the Capital One Platinum every week for the last month. I was previously receiving numerous Credit One mailers, but I haven't seen one of those since April.
