capital one cli question

I am set to have my 6th statement cut on April 6th.  My starting limit was $300 and was a platinum card.  Last month I hit the luv button and they increased it to $800.  I then did an online chat and had a PC to a quicksilver one card.

Next month I am expecting they will give me $500 for my auto increase.  Has anyone had any luck doing a recon after a credit step increase?

I have to buy plane tickets to see my son graduate in May and I don't want to max out a credit card, so I would like at least a $1000 increase instead of the $500 I'm expecting.

Re: capital one cli question

yes, I have seen MANY say they got more than what they expected ($500) you just really never know about Cap One.  If you do get the $500 as you expect speak to the EO and let them know that you were hoping for more for the reason that you just said.  More than a few have also had success doing this.  Good Luck!

Re: capital one cli question

As stated email the EO.  It didn't work for me but I think I shot myself in the foot with a lot of inquiries and high utilization.  Good luck!  Oh yeah, it takes a couple weeks to get back to you after you email the EO.  Include a telephone number in your request.  Good luck!
