That's a very important data point. An existing positive relationship gives you a huge leg up. However, I would be concerned about running into an internal credit limit threshold. You might want to prepare for a lower starting limit. I'm not sure if Wells allows credit limit reallocations to open a new account.

@NoHardLimits @firefox100 I can speak to this question. I was told by WF that they don't allow you to reallocate your credit limit to open a card if your application was denied. You can only reallocate your limit from one card to another if the application was approved. I wish they didn't have this policy.

starting limit from 4K to 10K total limit with taking any credit from the Autograph visa making my total credit with WF now 35K.

Now about having a prior relationship with Wells. Just how much will a current auto loan with them make wells want to give me a card?
