It's been slow growing for my cards lately but for some reason, I just decided to give the AMEX CLI button a try. Had been at a $1000 limit since opening in March of this year, tried for a CLI after the 61-day mark but was denied. It's been a little over 91 days since then and I was immediately approved for a $3000 limit making this now my largest card (as it should be, I used it constantly during a cross-country move that I specifically wanted the SOB 100k Hilton points for)!
Some extra DPs: my balance was technically $0 when I requested the CLI but I did have about $35 pending on the card from a charge earlier this same day. Spending the past month (October) was double that of September and triple that of August bust still within CL. In previous months like May and June I was frequently spending more than the CL but paying the balance down every week or so. Don't know how any of that factored into things but just thought I would share just in case.
Fun fact about this card: It came with complimentary Hilton Silver status, but since I moved cross-country a few months ago and recently visited family back home, I've easily worked my way up into Gold and am now 1 stay away from Diamond so that's something to consider if the Hilton perks are what you're after in the three Hilton AMEX cards but you want to avoid the AF.
