Amazon Store Card Approved!

I decided to try my luck at the Amazon Prime Store Card as the 5% Cashback really adds up!

When deciding whether I would try for this card or the Visa Signature, it came down to the preapproval as I got preapproved each time for the Store Card, however the Visa Signature card would not find my credit profile when attempting to preapprove. Too risky!

Additionally, I am pushing it with HPs as I've used countless HPs to rebuild over the past couple of years. Though some of my numbers are insane, I was able to go from a Capital One Platinum to an AMEX Gold Card in those 24-months — so it was worth it — now to the garden!!!

I am satisfied that I made the safer choice at this particular juncture!

Re: Amazon Store Card Approved!

@outofcredit Shopping at Amazon is addictive, super convenient, but highly addictive! We use Prime for just about everything since 80% of the stuff we need will be here the next day, 15% in two days, and only the remaining 5% in three or rarely more days! By the time we would be able to take a trip to Walmart or Target locally, it's likely to already be here with Amazon. I mean we have Walmart and Target cards too, but Amazon gets the bulk of our shopping!

BTW, I'm so hyper-focused on rewards that I almost forgot about the special financing option! That'll go a long way once the holidays roll around! You're right, I will need to exercise some serious restraint and discretion with this card! 😂

Re: Amazon Store Card Approved!

@SDMarik The conspicuously placed reminder that constantly tells me how much "[I] would have saved... with the 5% Cashback!"  was very likely the deciding factor! It was pretty close to $400 and we still have four months left to the year!!!
