Amex Gold Delta - APPROVED

Hi,

I applied for this card online over the weekend.  The computer showed a "pending status" each time I checked in, however this morning received a call from Amex CSR to verify my address and identity.. After that she informed me of the approval for 1000 CL but said if I'd like to increase the line upon activation I could call in to request the CLI as soon as the card is received.  Amex pulled from Experian only which currently my FICO as of 3/24 is 628.

Now just waiting on an answer from the Barclay Aviator Card --who pulled from TU only.

Additionally received a invite / pre-approval in CK from Marcus for a personal loan. They requested bank statements/income verification, which I uploaded yesterday.  For amount I entered 10K... but its 24.49% at around $336 per month 36 mos.  Not a good offer right?  Some others here received offers for 5-7% so most likely will ditch that one.  They pulled from TU only but initially SP. 

Thank you very much for the good information, I had never even considered getting another card because I thought there would be no chance at an approval!

congrats on getting the Amex Gold Delta, I have that card and the Delta Platinum, I like the perks that come along with the cards.

I think the wide 80 pt. spread is partly due to utilization of 86% on Exp due to a Citi joint account overdraft ...also had an old utility bill- (SCE) hit my credit March 8. Hoping they will delete because TU and EQ did!

I know,- totally stoked! My own Citi cards wouldn’t bump my CL up with a near perfect history with them in 9 years. So yeah..This forum is awesome! Literally spent all weekend on the site learning from all of you. I’ve made so many rookie mistakes it’s crazy!!! But not anymore!

Yeah. I’m looking forward to the miles this one has the 35000 bonus if I recall , I don’t use Delta as much as American but very happy with the outcome!

Congrats OP    Its a good starter card to get in with Amex.     

Just a quick thought tho, as i have the same card and limit. Unless you have a big income 50-60k+ a year, getting a CLI before you hit 670 on EX is not an easy feat.   I wish you the best as its been done before, but wanted to give you the warning just in case.  I got that card at 635, i'm upto 664 now, and still no CLI.

I was approved for this card when i had a 650 and have since raised my score almost 90 points. Income is $120k but still keep getting denied for increases.
