-Suck you in with an Approval
-Lock you in by posting to the CRAs
-Send your card lol

If you're looking to apply for another card or something before it posted then it would be bad, but if you had not intentions of applying for anything or then there's no impact. I was hoping to drop in one more app before this one and my amex posted to avoid the "to many recent accounts" but I guess that ship sailed
