Back in with Bank of America

Years ago I stiffed BoA for about 10K. Occasionally I'd log into the prequal page to see if they had forgiven/forgotten -- no such luck. And I didn't blame them, at all.

Today I got a letter in the mail: "Great News! You've been preselected for the BankAmericard Mastercard ..."

It didn't say preapproved but it did have a fixed APR of 16.49% after the initial 0% into APR (18 billing cycles for purchases and BTs made in the first 60 days).

It seems kind of a dud of a card after the 0% ends but its entree back into Boa so I went to the check it out site & enter my personal code from the letter. It prefilled most of my info so the application took about 5 minutes. Instant Approval for $10K.

So I'm back in the game with Boa. Can't wait for my first credit line increase request: "I'd like 99 thousand please. Yes, I'll hold."

Thanks, G. "Comeback" is exactly what it feels like -- this credit seeking game is like a sporting event. We keep score and everything. Smiley Happy

Re: Back in with Bank of America

Congratulations on your approval! How long ago did you burn BOA?

I burned them 14 years ago in a CO. I recently applied and they declined me because of my BK. I didn't have a cc with them when I filed my BK in 2016. I've been a customer for 20 years with BOA and couldn't get approved for their secured card either (applied for the cash rewards also).

The account went delinquent in 2005, charged off in 2006.

Hang in there.
