She volunteered to omit the AU.
I asked why I was denied and she said too many accounts. I acted surprised (I knew I was close, I thought 4/24). She pulled up my CR and went through all of my new accounts within 24 mos with me.
Then she goes "Oh wait, one of these is an AU account. Do you use that card regularly?" I say "No, we just added my name to it for the AU point bonus" She said "Ok well AU's don't count so I'll open a recon and omit the AU"
On a another note, I was very upset about Fidelity. When Fidelity switched from Amex to Visa and from FIA to Elan, it created a new account on my CR. She said she has to consider that as a new account toward 5/24. But it all worked out anyway...
