So, I completely forgot about applying for Cabela's Visa. It was one of several "we will contact you in blah blah days regarding your application" that week and I figured it was dead in the water.

I get a single page letter from Cabela's, I open it up, pull it out, think denial and about to tear it up.

"Soon you will be receiving your new card and welcome packet in the mail...."

Wait, what?

So, I call and figure its a $500 limit.

They tell me it's 21.4% (ugh, won't be carrying a balance anyway) and a SL of $2,000!

How has everyone's experiences been with them? Are they CLI friendly over time? Is this a good card to keep long term?

You must wait 6 months to ask for 1st CLI and it's a HP.

congrats on Cabelas! Show them 6 months of useage and payment history and then go for the CLI. i was denied a CLI when I requested one at the 6 month mark, too many new accounts/inquiries but a lot of pepole seem to be able to get them.

Nice, congrats on the approval, after 6 months you can request a CLI. Maybe it will be under BOA

I think its a very good card and I got mine up to 12K at first CLI request and yes I took a hard pull to get. Figured worth it.

Enjoy your card and watch for their sales...some great stuff at Cabelas.

I love my Cabela's card. I only have a $2000 limit too. But, I'm satisfied with that. I already have $16 of Cabela's bucks to spend. That's after my initial $20, that I spent right away, after getting approved.
