I have two seven month old secured cards with Capital One. Thought it was about time I try for a secured card. Applied for a Capital Quicksilver One card was instantly denied. Can they deny you without hard pulling?

Yes.
Yes they can. I have had 4 no HP denials in the last two days. Lol.
Thanks for the quick responses. I guess its nice to not get the hard pulls but was hoping for more.

Keep in mind Nixon situation may be a different circumstances so yours may be a hardpull. Report back if there are pulls as I am curious..

True. I am at the tail end of a long and successful app spree. I went from high end approvals to flat out denials with no HP. It's possible i've hit my "credit ceiling"
I will update in a few days.

Capital One has several cards that you can't be automatically approved for, if you already have two other cards.
These include already having two of any of their cards and applying to the following: the Secured card, the Platinum cards, the QuickSilver One, and the Journey.
