I'd just made a post about the Amex HH approval & couldn't sleep so I was going through the posts reading & digesting knowdge on that card. I'd been considering a balance transfer card for quite some time & so I did some research on that too.
I have only one HP but I can't remember on which report. No HP showed up for the Amex HH and so I went with applying for the Citi DC & was approved with an SL of $3k. I'll get the bonus first and then do a BT from another card to take advantage of the BT offer.
Citi pulled Experian & my email said I have a 679. I have an old 30 day late from last July & an account (closed in 2020 but reporting current) but no other baddies. I'll be sockdrawering some other cards & push the Citi DC and Amex HH to the front to take advantage of the rewards & well.....they're better cards.
Congrats on you approval.
Congrats on your Citi DC approval! 🎉🍾
Thank y'all!
Congratulations on your Citi DC approval 🎉🎉🎉
First congratulations on your Citi double cashback MC creditcard approval. I would not take a balance transfer on your Citi creditcard because for example lets say you transfer 1K from card which has credit line of 3K then your UL will 33% on one creditcard with fico score of 670 that is going to kill your fico scores and ther banks may take AA action and Citi may not increase your credit limit, I would try to grow your limits and increase your fico scores over time.
Fico cores over 800 and total cl of 320K limit and oweing less then 2.3K.

Thank you! Oh man! That was the whole purpose of me getting the card but I shall listen to your wisdom & just hustle to pay my other balances down sooner rather than BT'ing. I was a little disappointed at the SL but still grateful to get the approval with intentions on growing the limit. Thank you for your knowledge! I'll do as you recommend.
What I recommend is put spend on the card then pay it off before it reports do this for about 7 months then request credit increase from Citi, it is soft pull. Good luck again.
That's great! Congratulations on your approval!! 👏🏼🥂
