I have been off the boards for awhile. Trying to garden until May. Decided to beef up my profile for my upcoming AMEX apps next month when I will be 5 years and 1 month post BK7.
So, I started with NFCU last week, a couple of days after the AR. Hit the button. It went pending for review. Got a EQ alert for a HP. Darn it. Guess I came out of the garden a month early. Checked back a few hours later. Increase of $3500 from $14,500 to $18,000. Carrying a balance transfer of $3180. So, this helps my utility on this card.
Today I went for Discover:
Discover IT -- $1500 increase $20,000 to $21,500. (Received a $500 CLI Feb 9 from $19,,500 to $20,000). Carrying a $851 Balance Transfer on the card.
Discover IT Miles -- $1500 increase from $3,500 to $5,000. $0 Balance on the card. Haven't received a CLI on this card since August 2018. Have requested once or twice per month since. I was almost about to give up on it. And they reward me! Thanks Discover.
In all $6,500 worth of increase in less than a week. I'll take it.
Also, I did receive an increase in salary (only about $4000 per year). But it may have helped with the requests.
Now, here's to hoping AMEX accepts me into the fold next month.
