So, I have a few cards... Kohls, Walmrt, Paypal Extra, Credit One --- I'm rebuilding from a BK7 last year. Current FICO is 647
Never really had a 'good' credit card. I just recently was approved for a Capital One card with $1000 limit, and thought, why not go for another (I will probably ditch the Credit One card) and at least have my inquires mature at the same time, and take the hard pull hits same time.
Was looking at the really good benefits Discover offers with their 'Discover it' card. Everything I was reading was pretty vague and back-n-forth on whether it was worth trying for. A lot of people seem to get rejected. I figured... if I get declined, I'll just grow my Capital One, and forget the Discover card.
First card offer I applied for was declined, but was still approved with a counter offer. It still had all the same benifits, but just a higher APR (23%). I accepted and they gave me a $800 CL
Just thought I'd share my story and info... they seem to be pretty picky if you read around, but hey - they approved me!
Happy St. Pattys Day!!
Congrats!
Congrats Nate!
Creditone did what it was supposed to do, which is help you get better cards! I agree with closing it now that you have achieved that.
I have the cap1 QS for my help jump start. Is credit one good?

If you have Cap1, you don't need Credit1.
