I finally closed on my house today (key in hand), and i am back home decided to go on a spree.
plan was QS/Venture/AARP/Wayfair/Lowes
QS - 10k, applied Venture right away and was given the 7-10 notice. is that a denial? it makes no sense, my EQ/EX are 700 with 5 inq.
AARP approved with $3500 with the 200 sign up bonus.
i am kinda upset i didn't get the venture card, should i app for it again? i check the prequalify again and it's still there.

YOu should have apped for the Venture 1st, then QS, thats how its done...The Venture is either verifcation or denial. Congrats on your success, and approvals though!! Whatever you do, dont re-app again for the Venture. Just wait for the letter.![]()

omg i wish i knew that ahead of time, i was so sure i would get both cards. when should i app for the venture?
I applied for Venture and Quicksilver Visa within seconds of each other in July and received the 7-10 day notice. Called in (since I already had a Capital One account) and it was just verification, which they completed over the phone. Received my Venture Signature Visa and Quicksilver Signature Visa and have received some nice CLI's since then, too.
Sometimes when you apply for 2 on the same day they just want to ensure that it is you. It could be very good news! Give them a call. ![]()

which # did you call
I just called Capital One customer service on the back of my current card.
Even if you're not a current customer, I'd still recommend that you call the general Capital One customer service number and tell them you had a new application and you wanted to check the status. They will route you in the correct direction.

That is exactly what happened to me.
