About 2 years ago I opened a student credit card with Bank of America to help establish credit. BOA approved me for a credit line of $1,000. I have been very happy with the card and never really needed any more than I was approved for but after finding out that a higher credit limit would help my score I recently applied for a CLI. I wasn't sure of how much to ask for since I didn't want to ask for too much and get denied. I decided to request an increase of $1,500 which would put my new credit limit at $2,500. Afetr calling BOA and them pulling a TransUnion credit report they approved the increase!
